Nine months after it opened, attendance records at Montreal's Grande Bibliotheque continue to be broken. The library expects to welcome its 2 millionth visitor this week. The building has become so popular with Montrealers, it has surpassed all attendance projections. In the begining, it was thought that the Grande Bibliotheque would serve up to 7,000 people a day. In fact, up to 12,000 use the facility daily. It was recently chosen by a panel of architectural critics in Toronto as one of the three best-designed buildings to open in Canada last year.
